Hunger Games Fever: May The Odds Be Ever in Your Favor

I found about this novel through the suggestion of a friend which I immediately started reading months ago. And I was able to finish the trilogy in just a week or two. Instantly, when I started reading I could not help myself but to continue flipping on pages and pages. I still remember how I could finish several chapters in one sitting. I even dreamt about the characters and the setting of the story.That was how addicted I got.

I must say that is the sort of my genre. A story packed with so much action and adventure.

Then I found this quiz online.

Woooohoooo! I have a chance of winning the title. I may be crowned the victor. But come to think of it, I can not imagine myself being on the arena. I can not think of myself killing others to survive. That competition is sort of ridiculous. Why! Why does the capitol need to create a battle among districts just to show power. sigh

Anyway, I am just so excited for the next movie, Catching Fire!!! If I am not mistaken, the movie will premiere this November. Can't wait.

Trip to Mars...Would you?

This isn't a totally new news. I believe this have been running around for a quite a while. But since I am a lazy writer and it is only now that I found again the urge to write, let me share some of my thoughts.

I have just read today that more than 78,000 people have applied to become a settler of Mars. I thought, this was a crazy figure. That's too many. And of course different questions also popped out at the same time. Is there water on that planet. Is there oxygen? What made them think  they can live on Mars? What made them decide they want to? Are they not afraid?

But before I continue with all my questions, let me go back first to the basic of this project, Mars One.

Mars One is a space project that aims to send a group of human to Mars without coming back. You heard it right. It is one way.. As per what I have read, the human body will not be able to adjust to the higher gravity of Earth upon return. So let me just repeat, THERE IS NO COMING BACK.

Would you believe, a very small part of me wishes to go there also. I am now thinking all the  drama I could make to convince the panel why I deserve a slot for this trip to Mars. haha. Have I told you, it was my childhood dream to be an astronaut?

Okay, so if I am to send a video this is what I am going to say...

"Looking back, I remember being asked by our teacher what we would like to be. When it was my turn, I just repeated what my seat mate said, a nurse. But then  years later, I realized I wanted to be an astronaut. I have never been sure for most but this. I thought this was an impossible dream for me. And now, with this Mars One project, I am able to see hope. I have always been curious on what's up out there. It always fascinates me. To be a part  of this project would prove that there are seamless possibilities, that i can walk beyond so much possibilities."

But I have to wake up...that's my drama. Now very small part of me only would want to go there without returning. I can't imagine leaving so many special people here, my family, friends, relatives. I can't think of not returning.
I still believe Earth is a happy place. hahaha. Let us make it happier....

Going Totally Random

*** May 1, Labor day it is. And I am working! How ironic can it get?

*** First thing I know it is 5 o'clock in the morning. Next thing I realized, it is already 1:34 in the afternoon. How can time go by so fast?

*** I am waiting. I can not tell you right now what exactly it is. But once it is confirmed I may write about it.

*** In relation to the statement above this, I am now in the midst of all emotions. I am excited, nervous, scared and sad. All this emotions make my stomach rock and roll since yesterday. Literally! If you know what I mean. haha :)

*** I am on a red-alert-watch what you spend- status right now which is also because of the 2 statements above this.

*** I am now loving the Maybelline BB Stick. I do not have loose powder today but seems like it is working fine. Plus, i can also use it as concealer for lips!

*** My gmail status today: Things will unfold according to God's will. 

*** Four days to go before our Barangay fiesta!!! yahhooo. kainan na naman. But then, when there are plenty of foods laid in front of me, my appetite seems to get lost.

*** My leave for May 8 has been approved. Long days off. Yey!

*** I have so many questions and what if's.

*** I am excited to go home again. I'll be back in Batangas for the fiesta! yey!

*** I hate it when all the system I needed at work expired at the most inappropriate time and I needed to log back in. hasssle ng bonggacious kay guest!

*** I have to tell you that my account with BPI Express online has been disabled.. I got locked out from my own account. I forgot my password. Why am I so forgetful? what's new!!!

*** It is already 03:02pm and I am not done with this entry yet. Remember I started like 01:34pm? ang bagal ko lang

*** An Arabic guest was looking for an arabic speaker. I advised her we don't have available arabic speaker. She told me " I don't understand you." And I was like, mute button "duh, it's you I can not understand."
